Reverse Description:
Idaho is the 43rd coin released in the 50 State® Quarter Program and the third quarter released in 2007. Idaho, who was admitted into the Union on July 3rd 1890, themed the coin, Esto Perpetua. It highlights an image of the Peregrine Falcon imposing its presence above an outline of the state of Idaho. The coin is inscribed: Esto Perpetua (the state's motto which means, May it be Forever); Idaho; 1890; 2007; and E Pluribus Unum. President William J. Clinton was in office when this legislation was signed. Three United States Mint Directors served under President Clinton's tenure; David J. Ryder of Idaho, Philip N. Diehl of Texas, and Jay W. Johnson of Wisconsin.
