Honoring Our Veterans

November is the month to celebrate our nation's veterans.  Be sure to visit our Veterans Day page, which features information on coins and medals that honor veterans and Veterans Day teaching resources.

Show your students American coins that have honored Columbus and explorers like him.

Thanksgiving Activities

Visit our Thanksgiving Day page to learn more about this special day and where you can find related activities for your classroom. 

Have your students learn about glyphs and use a legend to analyze and interpret data with our Coin-a-Copia Teacher Feature.

Geography Awareness

Celebrate Geography Awareness Week (November 16 to 22) by incorporating some of our many coin based lesson plans that feature geography ("People and Places," "Of Frogs and Parrots," "Groovy Guam") into your curricula.
