Chief Kenneth Scott is the Field Chief of the United States Mint Police at the U.S. Mint in West Point, New York.
Chief Scott has over 32 years in public service. After completing four years of military service in the U.S. Army, he began his civilian career in 1996 as a police officer in Highland Falls, New York. While assigned to the Highland Falls Police Department patrol division, he served as the school district’s D.A.R.E. Officer, Field Training Officer, Juvenile Officer, Mountain Bike Officer, and the PBA President.
Upon his promotion to Sergeant in 2006, his assignments included Patrol Sergeant, FTO Program Supervisor, Community Policing Supervisor, Investigations Supervisor, Training Supervisor, and the Head of the Narcotics Investigations Unit. In 2012 he was appointed as the Highland Falls Chief of Police and served honorably in this capacity until his retirement in 2021.
Chief Scott graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in 2021, where he received the Director’s Leadership Award. In addition, he will soon graduate from Empire State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs and will subsequently be inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honors Society.
